Welcome to Alayne Foods! My name is Sharon Alayne and I'm a professional chef, an experienced risk manager, and most importantly, a mother to my teenage son, William, who has a severe allergy to tree nuts. This has made me hyper-aware of the importance of food safety. Many people with food allergies have to take extra precaution when choosing what and where to eat whether they are at a restaurant, a hotel, a school, a hospital, or any other pubbic place that serves food.
Boston has been my home for many years, and I want to help grow New England's Hospitality Industry in a safer, and a most successful environment. I live in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts with my family and am privileged to have many mentors from across my career path to lead me in the direction of my passions and goals. Many of my mentors have been some of the most influential and highly regarded Executive Chefs in the Hospitality Industry, as well as C level Executive Leaders in the Risk Management and Insurance Industry.
I'm able to offer your business a unique skill set which allows Alayne Foods to be best in class in the safety of the hospitality industry, and allows us to better understand your business and meet those hospitality needs. With over 20 years' experience of working as a Risk Management Advisor, I worked side by side with my clients, from CEOs, to managers, and employees to ensure their place of work was a safe environment while meeting compliance standards to satisfy insurance requirements, as well as meeting state and federal requirements to keep their doors open.
I received my Professional Chef Degree from CSCA, and understand the flow of commercial kitchens, the challenges Executive Chefs face, the challenges their managers handle on a day-to-day basis, the safety of their employees, and the importance of maintaining hospitality standards in the workplace. I had the privilege of working in both the BOH and FOH in several restaurants over my career, allowing Alayne Foods to be an invaluable source of information which can be critical in the hospitality industry.
Most recently, I developed and executed a 16-week Culinary Program for aspiring students who want to pursue a career in the hospitality industry. And it didn't stop there. I provided career coaching during and after the 16 week program, connecting the students with chefs within the industry to help them secure employment after graduation. I truly enjoy teaching and seeing the students gain confidence and food knowledge. Connection is a basic need and becoming a part of something bigger than yourself is empowering.
In addition, I spent 3 years as the General manager of a hotel which catered to business clients and tourists. I understand the fiscal responsibility, the importance of working with like-minded people, and the nuances that a business requires to be successful in the hospitality industry.
At Alayne Foods, our vision is to become the leading provider of professional food safety services in the industry. We aim to achieve this by delivering exceptional value to our clients and staying ahead of the curve.
I look forward to working with you and your business!
Thank you,
Sharon Alayne
